Cool Nights and Great Days.... hooked on smores!

Wednesday nights bonfire was extra nice. No Moon meant extra darkness, and the cool air made the fire cozy. We put on an "oldie" station and let the fire entertain us as we chatted and waited for the "smore making coals" to come. Smores made with big Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are divine! Gotta get the marshmallows browned, big and puffy, then smooshed between the graham crackers with the peanut butter cup... it is an art we are perfecting. The colors of the fire kept changing and a flame tunnel in a large log was better than anything that could have been on tv!

Yesterday was a fabulous day in the Sun. We went to the court and hit tennis balls back and forth for about an hour before visiting the large water fountain geyser thing in the park to get sprayed a little and cool off. We then went for a long bicycle ride. Again, we took off on the Paul Bunyun Trail and into a head-wind, rode to Merrifield. It was so nice out, birds singing and wild flowers blooming, we continued to Nisswa, figuring we would have a tail-wind for the ride back. Nisswa has a really good coffee shop, so that was our inspiration too. Great espresso, iced coffee with chocolate, some fruit and treats we had packed and we were ready to pedal back to
Brainerd. The tail-wind helped as we talked and enjoyed the sunshine all the way home. Beautiful Day! Sweeties new solar garden lights are charging in her yard, and it will be nice to see them glowing tonight around her gardens.

This morning I work in receiving and will come home to water the gardens... it may hit 90 here, and the growing vegies will want a nice drink as I pull a few weeds that have bolted up in the bright Sun rays. Good stuff.

Tomorrow a "road trip" will be awesome as we go to celebrate a 55th wedding anniversary. Good times and visiting will fill our day. Then we will decide where we may want to camp for a night or 2 for more Romantic Summer-time Fun.

I've got a nesting pair of bluebirds in a house at the corner of my fence... so cool, and the mourning doves are cooing with the sunrises now.... truly, Summer magic happening all around.

Flowers are not the only thing blossoming this Summer, as our guided lives are filled with the messages and miracles of the truly good life! "open my ears that I may hear, open my eyes that I may see Your beautiful works, open my heart that I may feel Your presence"

Peace!
