Bird Serenade For Waking Up

The birds are singing this morning. Cardinals whistling, chickadees doing their thing and mourning doves cooing. Sleeping with the windows open was cool and nice, a bit of thunder in the night made for deep sleep. As soon as the Sun began rising, the birds started their serenade.
Nice to make coffee with the songs. It is warmer this morning, mid 60's and looks like it will be nice weather for the weekend activities.

I got both lawns mowed yesterday and they look so nice. Lots of sunshine as I mowed and trimmed Peggy's yard. Her gardens are looking
really good, so many flowers blossoming and the vegies are taking off. Beautiful.
I picked cucumbers, peeled, scooped the seeds out, and made a vinegar dressing for a good salad to have on hand. Old fashioned and delicious.

I got home and my buddy Chell from across the street needed some help. His kitchen sink drain was stopped up. First I took off the trap, hoping that was the problem, but it was clear. I got my "snake" and started work, going down his line. We had success and I put it all back together and we ran hot water for a while making sure it was all fixed. Nice to be able to help such a good neighbor.

This morning I work a shift in receiving. It will be great to come home, play with the dogs, bake more good bread and enjoy relaxing with yard work done. I may do some cultivating and loosen the dirt, getting rid of a few weeds.

The weekend is here! Endless possibilities for fun and adventure. We'll be moving Peggy's antique organ in her house, doing a bit of rearranging for that. It is magnificent and looks so good in her home. The weather looks, so far, like it will cooperate with whatever else we decide to do for fun, kayaking or canoeing, picnic or something else. Good times ahead, just taking it easy and enjoying it all. It's been a fabulous week, bicycling, tennis, our "dinner and a movie" with Batman, and lots of other good times... Oh Yeah!

Enjoy the Summer weather, Minnesota weekends are the best!

Peace!
