Cloudy morning, but can't resist some garden pictures

It will get sunny later this morning. The gardens look so pristine that I had to post some pictures of them. Again the cool night made for excellent, deep sleep and I awoke energized and feeling great. I got a jar of sun-tea going first thing as the coffee brewed and it will be delicious this evening. After breakfast, I am going to go over and water Peggy's gardens for the afternoon sun.
Our yards look very good now, mowed, trimmed and green.

The pasta was excellent last night. Italian sausage and lots of garden fresh herbs made it delicious and made us feel healthy eating it.
Peggy brought me a blueberry donut from the new donut shop in town, Daylight Donuts, and it was way better than most, a nice dessert. Tonight I'm going to make a classic Waldorf Salad for supper.... tart apples, toasted walnuts and lettuce in a lemony dressing. Hungry for it already, it will be a good meal with a sandwich of some kind.

I work a short shift on the floor this afternoon, and I'm looking forward to getting off and into the sunshine to play with the dogs and maybe plant another row of green beans between the rows I have now. Simple pleasures are making life good!

Excitement is building for the Fourth of July! Grilling steaks, fireworks and fun will fill our evening.

I tried to get a picture of the nesting bluebirds to post, but they are shy. I'll keep trying. They are in the white house in the corner of the picture of the vegetable garden. There were 2 beautiful woodpeckers in the front yard this morning, picking under the feeder, but they too flew away just as I was going to snap a photo. Bright orange/red heads, I think they are called "ladderbacks".

Life and Love could not be better as this Summer blossoms. Fun activities filling our time, keeping busy with work and gardens, but still lots of relaxing and ideas for more adventure.

May Peace fill your day as we all get ready to celebrate the Fourth and our Guided lives!
