Holiday Weekend is Here, and it is Beautiful!

The sunshine is making the front yard look so nice, that I had to share some pictures of it. The day lilies are shooting up buds, and the zukes are blooming. The wrens woke me up with their constant singing along with chickadees and robins. I just had to walk around the yard, listen and enjoy my cup of coffee. Gorgeous here this morning.

Supper last night was excellent, Waldorf salad with bacon and tomato sandwiches... so nice outside, we ate in Peggy's back yard and enjoyed the sunshine, her yard looks wonderful. For fun, she took me to Stonehouse Creamery for an ice
cream sundae... wow, heavy and rich. We drove to the Gull Lake Dam and walked a bit of it off in the cool air as the Sun set.. romantic and fun.

Today we will either go bicycling or perhaps canoe or kayak, depending on our mood.... the weather looks perfect for anything we decide.
Tomorrow is the Fourth! I'll be BBQ-ing some beef ribs and make other treats for the big events.
It will be nice to cozy into my neighborhood for it all as Brainerd gets pretty jammed up on this holiday. The traffic is already picking up as early-comers arrive.

The weather should be about perfect for a real Holiday Celebration, and we have all kinds of options for fun. I'd like to take Peggy kayaking on Bay Lake, so scenic with islands and beautiful shores, friendly loons and just a good relaxing time. I know Scooter and Charlie would love another bike ride with us too. Again, simple pleasures making Summer and Romance extra special.

The coffee tastes extra good this morning, and I'm going to have a hearty breakfast to get the rest of the day rolling. This afternoon will be fun whatever we decide to do, everything feels so right!

It's going to be a "Firecracker" of a weekend... stay safe, Be Respectful, and Peace!
