Dewy Tuesday with Vegies on the way!

Nice day yesterday... after coffee and hearty toast, I caught up on laundry and dishes from the weekend. Then outside to do some weeding and watering, even with the cool mornings, the gardens are thriving. Peggy got off work and after some running around, brought me a yummy Dairy Queen Moo Latte.... icy creamy coffee smoothie thing.. I'd not had one before and they are good, more refreshing than heavy, with a perk of coffee in it. We watered all of her gardens and enjoyed how her yard is looking so pretty, blossoming and well kept.

We are making flower boxes out of long wooden crates that were hung on my garage wall as cabinets. They were not very efficient for that and I was not using them, but they are the perfect size and shape for painting and placing on front steps to set flower pots in. Pictures coming of that project.

My green beans are coming in like gang-busters! Only a couple days ago, the plants were blossoming and now they are filling with slender, sweet green beans... it won't be long and we'll have plenty to eat.

The cucumbers are starting to grow fruit too. Once the plants hit a certain stage, they seem to bolt upwards and blossom like crazy. Tiny cukes growing at the base of the pretty blossoms. We'll be picking these soon for all sorts of salads.

I almost got a picture of a bluebird this morning, they are really shy considering they build nests in the boxes that are in fairly busy locations. It flew away as soon as I came out with the camera, it had been flying around the ground looking for food and perching on the top of it's house. I'll keep trying, they really are a beautiful bird.

We are still recovering from our incredible Fourth of July weekend, catching up on sleep and nursing a few sore muscles. Good reminders of all the fun we had.

I work a short shift on the floor this afternoon, then a nice evening of visiting and maybe a small bonfire will be a relaxing end to another good day. A quick trip to the grocery store, I need more yeast for bread baking, water the gardens in the front and plenty of dog action in the backyard will fill the morning and early afternoon. The weather is perfect, Life and Love are Great!

Peace!
