What a great surprise! I was over at Peggy's and got a phone call yesterday early afternoon.... it was my Son Charlie telling me he was in MY BACK YARD, playing with Scooter and Charlie.. he came to surprise visit! We got to my house and after introductions and hugs, sat in the backyard and had coffee. I went and got a box of old family photos and showed Peggy old sepia toned pictures of my Dad when he was in the CCC working as a cook in a lumberjack camp in the state of Washington. There were also some pictures of me and my family from the 60's to look at as we visited, laughed and enjoyed the Summer weather. Good time.We all went to Matty's for supper. Great food, their famous sweet potato fries with secret dipping sauce and fried ice cream for dessert made our conversation absolutely wonderful. We then decided to rent a fun movie to kick back with and hang out for the night. We got Wall-E... a touching and excellent Pixar animation flick. The start to a fun Fourth of July celebration.
Today we will grocery shop and get lots of fun foods to have tonight, BBQ beef ribs, baked beans and snacks for the big fireworks show that we'll enjoy from the street in front of my house.
We'll also visit downtown and see what shops are open, maybe go for a bike ride, trailering the dogs and just have good fun.
Special times with special people, Blessed and full of Love!
Peace!
