Yikes for a chill!.... it was 40 this morning when I woke up. Thankfully, no frost though, the gardens seem fine. It will warm up to high 60's this afternoon and the sunshine feels good. Hot coffee tastes extra good this morning, good toast with honey and peanut butter for a great start to this week. Tomorrow Peggy and I go to the State Fair!... the cooler temperatures will make it better for exploring all the crowded buildings and exhibits. I remember going as a child when it was hot and stifling, not fun at all. We're looking forward to all the food, people watching and wonderful exhibits.
Saturday late afternoon, we went for a nice bicycle ride on the Paul Bunyan Trail, north almost to Merrifield. Yesterday was fabulous for our road-trip. We got off to a good start, a nice walk along the river before church, then after church, great weather and lots of wonderful scenery for the drive. We took a little different route, around Lake Osakis. We visited, I climbed a ladder and trimmed tree branches, and Peggy helped her Mom make a great dinner. The dogs liked the trip and played in the yard, teasing and chasing all day. Peggy's Dad loves dogs, and enjoyed playing and watching their antics. He would whistle and Charlie would jump into his lap... so cool. A nice drive home in the evening, hardly any traffic, and again the scenery was magnificent.
Tonight we will take it easy, resting and getting ready for the Fair tomorrow. I've got a great supper planned, with a Cajun spin on it. We'll be walking it off tomorrow for sure.
Everything just keeps getting better....
Peace!

Ooh! Coffee and toast and honey on a cold morning. I had a honey-oat Cliff bar and a latte...and it's about 48 degrees up here this morning! Funny how things work like that.
have fun at the fair! I went to the diaper derby yesterday at the AK state fair and cheered on my little buddies. : ) Love you!
