"Charlie, get out of the garden!" was a common holler this Spring. He has been so good lately and knows to stay out. This morning, he went into the vegies, and just as I was about to scold, I noticed the tomatoes were moved around. Deer tracks in the dirt! Judging by the size of them, a big deer too. It knocked a few green tomatoes to the ground, munched a few and nibbled the tops off some green bean plants. I'll have to put a chime and light or something in the garden today and try to keep the deer scared from entering again.
This certainly has been a fun week to blog, with

some kind of surprise in the backyard almost every morning. Also fun because of all the wonderful things Peggy and I have done and experienced all week long.
It is a cool 46 this morning, a gentle breeze making the bamboo chime clunk nicely and Sunny. Perfect for this time of year. I'm baking hearty bread already, 2 loaves today so we can bring one to share tomorrow. I'll pick tomatoes and make a marinaded salad for our road trip too.
We had a simple supper of leftovers and toast last

night, just nice to kick back. Started watching the last Bourne movie, anticipating the release of the 4th, coming to theaters soon! I'll get the bicycles and trailer ready for if we decide to go for a ride this afternoon, depends on the changing weather.
We'll have a great time whatever we decide to do.
Maybe a bonfire for a romantic end to the evening.
This is such a beautiful time of the year.... great for sleeping, getting cozy, and days of outdoor activities, noticing slight changes in all the colors and blossoming already. Lots of squirrel and bird activity too.

Late Summer in Brainerd.... Life and Love could not be better, so many good things on the way!
Peace!
