Fun Munday and Terrific Tuesday

Nice morning... cool, sunny and birds singing as I went out to enjoy a cup of coffee. After a nice hearty breakfast, I went into work for a short shift in receiving. So much Fall stuff coming in, vests, jackets and sweaters... I choose to remain in seasonal denial, lots of Summer left! Scooter and Charlie got a new toy from Peggy's daughter last weekend, her dogs did not play with it, but it is a new favorite with these boys... it bounces funny and is easy to hold and tug with.

After work yesterday, we cleared out and brought back a pile of rummage sale items to their owner. Nice to have the space back for Peggy! Her yard and gardens look so nice. We sat in the yard and had a little bonfire before getting a Special Pizza and settling in. For fun and kicking back after our busy weekend, we watched "Ratatoulle" the
animated Disney/Pixar movie about a Rat with an extraordinary sense of taste and desire to cook.... funny and good. Nice to have cooler evenings now.... great sleeping weather.

Today, I am baking good bread for our breakfast toast... oatmeal, cornmeal and whole wheat.... so good with peanut butter, a great start to any day.
Laundry going and will mow the back yard too. Some perennials are in full swing now... this is Joe Pye Weed, and has large flowering tops that attract lots of bumble bees and monarch butterflys. Geese are flying low, in formation, and lots of birds singing today. Perfect, late
Summer day.

Thursday, after work we will again take a road trip. Nice to travel some, see the scenery change some with the season, and enjoy time "just being" together. Next week we'll be going to the State Fair.... we're both really looking forward to that.

We'll see what this evening brings, it will be good, whatever we decide!

Peace!
