Who's that knockin' at the door?

Beautiful cool, dewy morning here today. I woke up with some road construction noises in the neighborhood, clanking and engines doing work a few blocks away. I started coffee and listened to all the birds singing. There was a persistent tapping near the front door, a small woodpecker was rapping on the gutter area. Of course, it shyly flew up into a tree when I tried to get a picture of it, but it was cool. Calm and not a cloud in the sky as Brainerd wakes up. Soon some hearty toast to get my day off rolling. Going to mow the front, pick tomatoes for an Italian salad we will have tonight. Peggy is in the mood for waffles and this will be the perfect compliment for them.... a great supper idea! The dogs are snuggled in after going out to do their morning business, glad I'm home and cozy.

Last night was awesome, with another "little miracle" that makes our lives so interesting and wonderful. Peggy wanted to do something fun outside after work, the weather was so nice, and after coming over for coffee, we decided on tennis and a picnic. What to do for the picnic?.... we chose to just "wing it" and see what happened. Perhaps coming home to pick up stuff and make a meal to bring to a park, swing by a store and get something, we would just see what happened... knowing whatever we chose it would be fun. We often go to a Tuesday night meeting, and thought we would pass tonight and have a "meeting of our own". As we played tennis, we saw across the park, people gathering at a picnic table. We continued playing and thought we heard familiar voices from that area. Oh wow, it was our Tuesday night meeting group, setting up a picnic. We played a while longer and decided to go over to be sure.... awesome, there was our group, our meeting, and our picnic all in one! Lots of good food, a great meeting with friends and we got our tennis fun in too. We were amazed by the coincidence, and that we had decided to "wing it" with our picnic plans.... our plans had already been made for us by Him.... what a way to share life!

Tonight will be another good night of relaxing and good times, waffles, salad and who knows what else? Our road trip will be Sunday all day with the dogs, instead of Thursday, so we will have more time to visit and do things to help. Oh yeah! Excited for our State Fair Trip and other things, "being together", and experiencing the Promises coming true.

Life and Love are Extra Good!

Peace!
