Yesterday was one of those days.... one of those days where the clock seemed to run at half speed, making the day go on and on, wonderfully. The morning was for picking flowers, making a pretty vase of colorful blossoms for Peggy. I got some housework done, vacuuming and other stuff... still lots of morning left to get ready for work. Everyone was cheerful at work, lots of sales and good times. After work, I felt so energized that I went over and mowed Peggy's lawn, getting it looking nice for the rummage sale coming up on Friday. I pulled some stuff together and brought it over to pile with the rest too.

It was hot outside after work and we wanted some fun refreshment, so took the dogs to a lake.
We brought a Frisbee, and played catch in the cool water, sandy bottom, and played with Scooter and Charlie. They take a few moments to get used to the lake, but both swim pretty well, having some beagle in their heritage. They sat nice on the dock after their swim as we played until sunset. Beautiful colors as the Sun sank quickly below the horizon, and some boats were coming back to shore... it was time to head back.
We dried off, wiped down the dogs and drove home to watch the first half of a Bourne movie.

A perfect night of relaxing and good times. This morning, we picked up what we needed, and made tortilla roll-ups for a pot-luck luncheon at work for Peggy... we had to sample the Mexican/cream cheese filled tortillas, and they are yummy. I work again on the floor today, should be a good day there again. Tonight we are going to organize and get some more things ready for the sale tomorrow. We'll have coffee and maybe cookies for customers too... oh yeah!
Summer weather is here, and Brainerd is alive with blessings and good times for us.
Tomorrow will be an early morning of putting out merchandise for the "Big Sale" event, some work in receiving, and then back for visiting and fun through the night. Kicking off another weekend!
Peace!
