What all the "buzz" is about!

Ever wonder what is making that loud buzz, almost an electrical sound up in the trees? It is a cicada, and one was on a clothes pole this morning. It is a bit more than 2 inches long, kind of like a huge housefly. 2 mornings in a row with interesting insect life in my back yard.. hmmm.

Yesterday was magnificent. After working on the floor until the afternoon, Peggy came to visit at the store. We had a blast shopping for clothes and other stuff, exploring the "yellow dot" racks... 85% off! We got over $250 of things for about $50.... too good! I had won a contest of sorts, for referrals to the Clinique cosmetic boutique in the store, and so we had to stop there to shop too. Awesome. We came home for good coffee and good visiting, deciding on what we wanted for supper. We went shopping and got some great steaks, came back and I fired up the Weber. Broccoli salad with fresh tomato and jalapeno, baked beans and perfect steaks... what a supper. A new level has been reached in more ways than one. Later, we finished watching "Snow Buddies", and got cozy for the rest of the night.

I worked today in receiving, so much Columbia fall clothing coming in. Nice to be home now, a few days off, and able to do some things around the house and fun stuff. Tomorrow we may go bicycle riding in the afternoon. Sunday for our road trip, State Fair on Tuesday..... Life is good!
