A Plant Kit That Works!

A couple weeks ago, Peggy got a small boxed plant bulb kit. We followed the instructions, putting the small bulbs in the medium, watering and so forth.... almost instantly, the bulbs began to sprout. Now too tall for a shelf, we are amazed by the growth. And Fragrant! Called "Paperwhites" they may be a lily of some kind, the box was not specific. Over 2 feet tall, blossoming with a sweet floral aroma, this was quite an inexpensive, fun project. We staked them so they won't tip, and may have to put them into a larger, deeper pot... the boxed instructions did not tell very much.

We road-tripped Sunday to visit Peggy's folks. Always a hoot to share a meal, visit and have fun. Scooter and Charlie love Harry, he keeps doggie treats in his pocket. Later in the afternoon, he and I went out and raked snow and busted ice off his roof while Peggy did her Mom's nails. There were a few flurries on the way home with snow blowing across the road, but about half-way back, it cleared up. Nice day, nice trip. I brought them a loaf of my hearty rye bread, and we stopped and got some salads too.

Brighter, longer days, loving the sunshine.... still hoping for some more snow to keep the snowmobile trails good for rides. Great times in Brainerd!

I may start a small pot of chili for our supper, catch up on a few things around home and just enjoy the day... The dogs are still under their comforter, I'll have to get them outside playing when it warms up too.

Life and Love keep getting better and better!

Peace!
