Week of Fun, Snow, Fun and Winter Stuff

Nice week of Winter stuff. From visiting with Peggy's grandson, to some good cookin', this week has been a fun one. Just enough flurries to cover the gray grimy snow that has iced over so much here, making it brighter and fresher. Now last night we had a good dusting of snow, and that was enough for us to run the road to the trail!

Peggy was hungry for some of my good homemade soup, so I made a simple chicken with rice stew. Celery, carrots, onion, thyme, garlic and a bit of pepper for seasoning and it was perfect. Warming us up real good for supper, we just had toast with it. Funny how sometimes
a soup is "just nailed", and this was it. So good, it was hard to stop eating.

We went out north of Brainerd on the trail today, then east and then south to Long Lake... new territory, open trails, fresh snow and lots of fun.
We did miss a turn, so Peggy got off and took a picture of me turning the machine around.

Tonight is a Christmas Dinner Party for work.... talk about stretching the season out, we will dress up fancy for this event. Pork loin and chicken with all the fixin's we've heard braggin' about how good this event will be at the American Legion downtown here... party on!

Road trip tomorrow, visiting family and maybe cross-country skiing or hiking is on the agenda for tomorrow... we may get more snow across the region, so weather permitting will be added to all plans!

Blessings and Promises happening more and more....

Peace!
