Got lucky on Craigslist, sold the '79 Suzuki GS1000S with no trouble.We are for many reasons, partial to Polaris products and went to look at new Victory Motorcycles.
Wanting comfort for long rides, storage for our gear and lots of power for fun, we decided on the Kingpin Tour with the 100 c.i. engine (1634 cc), 6 speed overdrive transmission and bags.Lots of comfort, low drivers seat, and a nice windshield to keep the elements (bugs) away, this was a perfect fit.
We had the shop install a "highway bar" system with foot pegs for me, and some nice chrome grab rails for Peggy's seat..
We just got back from a great ride of about 60 miles, going to Lake MilleLacs, up through Deerwood and back to Brainerd.... what a HOOT!
We're looking forward to a road trip up to Duluth soon on this baby.... What a ride!
