It was a Springy Week and Weekend!

There was Spring in the air, and a Spring in our stride all last week and through the weekend. From picking up the new Victory Kingpin, going for rides, (one to Little Falls to pick up some INCREDIBLE coffee beans), yard work, fun shopping and moving the bedroom upstairs, rearranging the home, we had a good time working and playing together!

Of course, there's always a sale going on, and dog beds were a big bonus. Peggy picked out this fluffy one with doggy bone decorations. Scooter, and especially Charlie, jumped onto it and settled in. They must love the way it feels, they are on it just about every chance they get.

Peggy's big ideas of rearranging the home are really happening and working out better than we hoped. Clearing out our downstairs bedroom, we've made that into our "office". Now paperwork, the desk with computer, plus other schedule/calender and things we need to keep track of will
have a home. Because of the narrow doorway and stairway turn going up to our new bedroom, we went and got a "split-queen" box foundation. Easy to haul upstairs, next went the mattress. Peggy had a plan, and I trusted her notions. Some things were brought downstairs, some to the basement and some to the garage, as we sorted and arranged. It came out fabulous. We now have ideas for painting, lighting and other touches.

We took some good time off yesterday after early church service, and went for a long ride on the Kingpin. The Sun was out, it was fairly calm and we had a great trip up through Nisswa, east with
back roads to Brainerd, ending up at Caribou for a big coffee treat.

I bought some big salmon filets and we wanted to use the Weber to grill them. Simple, with fresh lemon juice, olive oil and a sprinkle of dill and black pepper, I grilled them between two bins of lump coal and mesquite.
Unreal how delicious they were with crispy fried yams and a big salad for supper. Peggy had to get close and see how I arranged the salmon between the coal holders. We'll be doing this more and more, as we both loved the way the fish turned out.

We did take some time off from our rearranging and watched, Saturday night, "The Bad Lieutenant" starring Nicolas Cage, a pretty twisted and weird detective thriller. We gave it mixed reviews, but it was entertaining enough to keep us awake after our busy day.

We feel a month ahead, weather-wise, compared to last year. We got a call that our new back door and window are in, and are anxious to get going on that room project, the deck and some yard ideas... oh yeah!

The Springtime Blessings in Life and Love are incredible!

Peace!
