Starting with yesterday, Mother's Day, I got a special breakfast going with Scottish oat waffles, thick bacon and good coffee. The Sun looked like it was going to warm things up outside as the winds diminished. I would put these waffles up against anybodies in the "hearty" category, tender and delicious! Peggy deserves to be "treated like a Queen" on her special day~ positively charming!
As much as we don't like a lot of work or being too busy on Sunday, especially Mother's Day,
we still thought it would be fun to get some things
As it warmed up, we both started thinking of a ride on the Kingpin. We headed east to Matty's and had their special sandwiches. Peggy had sunfish and I had their steak... we split sweet potato fries and fresh cut fries and everything came with a special sauce for dipping.
After our meals, we headed east again to Lake Mille Lacs to visit the giant walleye. In just a short while, the wind shifted a bit and we felt the air chill some as we headed home. Great ride.
Last weekend, visiting with Peggy's parents, we got this nice shot of Charlie in one of his favorite laps.
Peggy and I went for many nice long walks in the cool evenings, a good long bicycle ride and thought about tennis. Robins egg shells in the streets, plants poking up in the garden, even through the frost we've had.
This week will find us on our hands an knees some as we prepare the floor for paint in the Sun Room, wiping down and treating the paneling, and then painting the primed wall and ceiling.... oh yeah!
And tomorrow, we may dig the footing holes for the deck supports too, fun and excitement as this project nears completion. Pictures coming after the mess is cleaned up....
Life, Love and Springtime continue to be Blessed and Guided, almost beyond comprehension....
Peace!
