Our week was a fun, busy one. Making good headway in the "Sun Room". The new door is about finished with installation, a bit of caulking now and that's done. I began filling screw-head holes in the flooring. I'll use a small electric sander to smooth it all out before we paint the floor "Lime Light", a very, very pale green. We went Saturday to our friendly Ace and picked out the floor paint to accent the new wall with the door.
Sunday we went to Alexandria to visit with Peggy's Mom and Dad. We brought Scooter and Charlie, had a blast, enjoyed a great meal and talked. Peggy's Dad went outside and picked us some fresh catnip. We put it in a zip-loc bag and brought it home for the kittys.
Peggy had barely put it on a shelf with the plants and Mr. Kitty and Jezzie were standing on their hind legs looking for it. Peggy gave them a small branch to play with and hid the rest on a cupboard.
This morning, oh Wow!... the cats found the bag, shredded it open and partied all night long. Tanners woke up in the laundry basket, Mr. Kitty and Jezzie were sleeping in a ball together by the front door and there were pieces of catnip strewn all about!... it was hilarious!
It has been drizzling off and on a few days here, we've missed taking the Kingpin out for rides, but it is nice to have the fire-risk lowered. I did go for a short ride today and got some 1/2 and 1/2 to make oyster stew this evening for Peggy. She's been hungry for it a couple days and it is time to indulge.
Tomorrow we begin work on our 8x8 deck going outside the new back door! Awesome excitement here. The parts for it have all been delivered and we've got the plans all ready.
Pictures of that project and our near-finished door project soon.
Life continues to amaze us with Blessings and Guidance!
Peace!
